REFLECTION

"In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world" (John 16:33).

This truth has everything to do with election but is in no way dependent on elections: No matter who the President is, Christ Jesus is our Sovereign, now and forevermore!

So, yes, we cry and even ask “why?” But soon, by the power of God’s Spirit, we get up again and try - for the good of America and the good of the world, but most of all, out of faithfulness to our calling: “You are the light of the world!” (Matthew 5:14)
